An opening date for the Houston at Ella mixed-income housing apartments in north Houston has been announced. The apartment complex will be a 9% tax credit project with 146 units, according to an April 25 email from a spokesperson with the project’s developer, Palladium USA.

The apartments will have one, two or three bedrooms. Of the 146 units, 79% will be available for families “earning 30-80% of Harris County Area Median Income” and 21% will be for rent at a full market rate, according to the email.

Officials for Harris County and developer Palladium USA celebrated a groundbreaking March 8 for the new complex. The Harris County Housing Finance Corporation will own the land the complex is located on, as previously reported by Community Impact.
