With all 61 precincts reporting in the Klein ISD board of trustees Position 2 election, Doug James won with 1,454, or 38.4 percent, of the vote. James could not be reached for a comment on Tuesday night.
Vijay Patel received 737, or 19.4 percent of the vote, while Seth Batiste finished with 565, or 14.9 percent of the vote, Sangita Mallik finished with 457, or 12.1 percent of the vote and Dillan Dimas finished with 310, or 8.2 percent of the vote.
Wade Fennel received 268, or 7.1 percent of the vote; however, Fennel withdrew from the race in mid-September after some absentee ballots were cast.

A second position on Klein ISD's board of trustees was also open, but the incumbent ran unopposed. Georgan Reitmeier received 3,262, or 100 percent of the vote for this position.

In second place, Vijay Patel has 19.7 percent of the votes, while Seth Batiste has 14.9 percent of the votes, Sangita Mallik has 12.4 percent of the votes and Dillan Dimas has 8.1 percent of the votes.

Doug James leads in the race for Klein ISD board of trustees Position 2, with early and absentee voters. James received 390, or 38.7 percent, of the votes, and Vijay Patel is in second after receiving 201 votes, or 19.9 percent of the votes.
Among the remaining candidates, Seth Batiste received 142, or 14.1 percent of the votes; Sangita Mallik received 106, or 10.5 percent of the votes; and Dillan Dimas received 88, or 8.7 percent of the votes.
