Neighborhood-style pizza spot with vintage aesthetics Galaxy Pizza opens June 6 off of Louetta Road in Spring, officials confirmed.
What's special about it?
The 1,800-square-foot space was founded by Anthony Calleo and designed by artist Brian Dibala to foster a nostalgic feel inspired by American pizzerias.
Galaxy Pizza will feature a hybrid pizza dough recipe that combines Detroit-style dough with Neo-Neapolitan techniques.
According to their menu, pizzas are available in 12 inches, 14 inches and 16 inches with topping options including:
- Pepperonius Maximus: three kinds of pepperoni, three layers and extra cheese
- Tom Selleck: bacon, ham, pepperoni strips and pineapple
- Salad Days: spinach, tomato, garlic, feta and herb shake
- That Guy!: Italian sausage, bell peppers, onions and feta
- Veg-O-Max: mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, garlic, banana peppers, olives and feta
Galaxy Pizza also offers subs, salads, and various snacks.

Calleo was previously involved with four other Houston-area restaurant concepts:
- Pi Pizza
- Gold Tooth Tony's
- Rudyard's
- Betelgeuse Betelgeuse
Calleo said he plans to use Galaxy Pizzas's concept as a way to support initiatives for the autistic community, after his recent autism diagnosis.
"Galaxy Pizza is really about creating a place that feels familiar and welcoming while also being true to who I am," Calleo said in a news release. "Getting diagnosed with autism later in life changed a lot for me, and I hope this restaurant can become a positive space that not only serves great pizza, but also finds ways to advocate for and support others."
