Pearland ISD free and reduced-price meal applications are now being accepted by the district for the upcoming 2022-23 school year.

People can fill out applications online; at the district’s food service office located at the administration building at 1928 N. Main St., Pearland; or can have a paper application mailed by calling 281-412-1244.

In order to be eligible, parents' or guardians’ household income must be at or below the income eligibility levels, which varies depending on the number of residents in a household.

For a family of four, a student qualifies for free lunch if the average household income is $36,075 or less. A student from a family of four qualifies for reduced lunch if the annual household income is $51,338, according to federal poverty guidelines provided by PISD.

According to PISD, a student receives automatic assistance if they receive aid from any of the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations.
