Here are the coronavirus updates to know May 22. (Community Impact staff)

Brazoria County reported its 12th coronavirus-related death May 22, a nursing home resident from Pearland. This was reported alongside nine new cases of COVID-19 and three recoveries.

There are now 825 total cases in the county, including 394 confirmed cases, 411 recoveries, eight probable cases and 12 deaths.


The nine new cases reported today include one nursing home resident from Alvin and two Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmates.

Nine nursing home-related cases reported in Brazoria County on May 28

A total of 21 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the county May 28.

The death total in Harris County now stands at 221. With 11,770 cases confirmed in the county, the death rate stands at 1.9%. (Community Impact staff)
