Jessica Cejka has the race for Clear Creek ISD trustee Position 1 by 41 votes, according to unofficial final election results from CCISD’s election website. As of May 8, all votes had been collected.

Cejka has received 1,260 votes, or 50.83% of the votes. Opponent Misty Dawson received 1,219 votes, or 49.17% of the votes. Despite the race being extremely close, CCISD officials stated that they do not participate in runoffs and determine the winner by number of votes.

Community Impact Newspaper was unable to reach Cejak on May 8 for comment.


Results are still considered unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk in the coming days.

For the Clear Creek ISD trustee at-large Position B, incumbent Scott Bowen has won the race, according to unofficial final election results from CCISD.

Bowen has received 4,477 votes, or 48.41% of the votes. Opponent Kyrsten Garcia received 3,357 votes, or 36.60% of the votes, and Carl Nunn received 1,339 votes, or 14.6% of the votes.

Community Impact Newspaper was unable to reach Bowen on May 8 for comment.

Unofficial election day results continue to show the Clear Creek ISD trustee Position 1 seat is still a tight race.

Misty Dawson received 50.02% of the votes, or 1,057 votes, and Jessica Cejka received 49.98% of the votes, or 1,056 votes, according to CCISD’s election website.

For the Clear Creek ISD at-large Position B seat, unofficial election day results are still too close to call due to there being three candidates.


Scott Bowen has received 3,449 votes, or 49.81% of the votes. Opponent Kyrsten Garcia received 2,581 votes, or 37.27% of the votes, and Carl Nunn received 895 votes, or 12.92% of the votes.

According to CCISD officials, the district does not do runoff elections and determines the winner by whoever has the most votes.

Results are updated as of 10 p.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk.

In the race for Clear Creek ISD board of trustees Position 1, early voting results show a close race between Misty Dawson and Jessica Cejka, according to data from CCISD’s election website.

Dawson has received 50.18% of the votes, or 567 votes, while Cejka has received 49.82% of the votes, or 563 votes. Incumbent Laura DuPont did not run for re-election.

In CCISD's other race, incumbent Scott Bowen is currently in the lead for the district's at-large Position B seat with 1,986 votes, or 49.22% of the votes, according to the district's election website. Bowen has served on the school board since 2019.

Opponent Kyrsten Garcia received 1,536 votes, or 38.07% of the votes, and Carl Nunn received 513 votes, or 12.71% of the votes.
