Looking for things to do in the Pearland and Friendswood areas this spring? Here's six events to attend in the area from late March to mid-April. This list is not comprehensive.

Spring Fling

Nonprofit Wag Again Rescue and Pearland Canine Resource Center and will host their third annual spring festival, celebrating with Easter bunny photo-ops, a children’s and adult’s Easter egg hunt, a vendor market, food trucks, music, and a silent auction.

Holi Extravaganza & 5K Color Run

Greater Businesses of Pearland will host a 9 a.m. 5K color run and a cultural celebration for Holi, the festival of colors to announce the arrival of the spring season. The third annual event will be filled with cultural performances, shopping, international food, multiple vendors, interactive dancing, music and activities for kids. The color run will support victims of human trafficking through donations to organizations The Landing and Mady’s Movement.

Friendswood Farmers Market

The event is hosted on the first Saturday of each month, except for January and July, and is an open-air market selling several baked goods, produce, meats, flowers and coffee, among other things.2024 Children’s Cluster-Soar to New Heights


The South Belt Houston Chapter of the Jack and Jill Foundation, an organization dedicated to the engagement and advancement of children’s quality of life, will host an aviation event at the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, with flying aircraft simulations, drone racing and education on the aeronautics industry. The aim of this event is to close the diversity gap in aviation careers by developing a pipeline.

Puranava

The sixth annual traditional Indian art and culture festival features a chariot fest with street performances; classical and folk art performances; Indian food; art exhibits; henna; cultural competitions, such as chess, quizzes, music and dance; as well as a kids zone with art and games.Old Pearland Farmers Market

Every third Saturday of the month, the market hosts a number of vendors who all sell local, homegrown or handmade goods. Those goods include a variety of seasonal produce, such as chicken eggs, beef, local honey, canned goods and coffee. There is also a bounce house, food trucks, live music and various kids activities.
