The platform, Gale Presents: Udemy, connects users to video courses taught by experts in a variety of topics, including business, technology, design and personal development, according to a press release. Gale Presents: Udemy has over 4,000 courses across 75 different categories.
Along with the video lectures comes supplemental course content, such as assignments and quizzes with certificates of completion available for download once a course is completed.
Gale Presents: Udemy can be found by cardholders on the BCLS webpage under the research room section. Brazoria County residents can also apply for a free library card on the BCLS website.
BCLS includes 12 libraries, one located in each of the cities of Alvin, Angleton, Brazoria, Clute, Danbury, Freeport, Lake Jackson, Manvel, Sweeny and West Columbia, and two libraries are located in Pearland.
