What will your biggest priority be if elected?
My top priority has been and will remain public safety. Making sure our emergency services personnel, PD, EMS and fire have what they need in workforce and equipment to continue to keep our community one of the safest in the state.
What changes, if any, would you like to see to the city's budget?
Focus should remain on public safety and infrastructure, streets, drainage, water and sewer. Important to retain our 20% homestead exemption for residents over 65. Friendswood holds AA bond rating, indicating conservative management, strong reserves. Ensuring ability to qualify for lower interest rates, reducing overall interest expense, saving millions of dollars.
What infrastructure projects would you like to see prioritized in the next term?
Continue focus on improving water pressure and quality of water running to homes. Example of this focus is the recently completed 24-inch Clear Creek Crossing Waterline ($5 million). Continue efforts related to flood mitigation. Leveraged $41 million of bond dollars into $121 million to complete flood mitigation projects benefiting Friendswood.
What should Friendswood prioritize to promote economic development?
The priority remains on enhancing the quality of life for Friendswood residents. Efforts not only to attract, but also to retain "Mom & Pop" businesses is paramount. By growing the number of businesses, we can help diversify our city's tax base, thereby reducing the tax burden on our residents.
Would you support the city going for a bond in 2026 to address the city's recreational needs?
Bond elections are an example of our democratic process, allowing citizens to vote for or against a tax increase. A committee of citizen volunteers were tasked to explore placing a bond on the November 2026 ballot. Receipt of their recommendations would be necessary for me to make an informed decision.

What will your biggest priority be if elected?
My biggest priority will be ensuring that every part of our community feels represented and heard. I believe there are residents who desire and deserve stronger representation from every corner of our community, including those in Harris County.
What changes, if any, would you like to see to the city's budget?
My priority would be ensuring the city budget reflects responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. We should always look for ways to conserve resources and avoid unnecessary spending, while recognizing that our community includes residents at every economic level. Every dollar should be spent with purpose to help keep Friendswood affordable.
What infrastructure projects would you like to see prioritized in the next term?
Along with the city’s ongoing flood mitigation, street improvements and sidewalks should be prioritized. Many residential streets are still paved in asphalt, which requires ongoing maintenance, and some areas lack proper sidewalks. Improving these would enhance safety, accessibility and long-term infrastructure reliability.
What should Friendswood prioritize to promote economic development?
Friendswood should focus on thoughtful economic development that attracts quality businesses. Expanding our business base can help offset the tax burden on homeowners, provided new development fits the character of our community and enhances the city as a whole.
Would you support the city going for a bond in 2026 to address the city's recreational needs?
I would be open to considering a bond if it is clearly itemized and transparent so residents understand exactly what they are voting on. Any proposal should be fiscally responsible and ultimately left to the voters to decide.
