The city of Pearland’s efforts to widen and replace parts of Kingsley Clear Creek bridge on the city’s west side just made headway after City Council approved funding for the project’s design phase.
The details
Pearland City Council voted unanimously at its Feb. 23 meeting to award a contract over $726,400 to Houston-based LJA Engineering for structural design, surveying and environmental permitting services tied to the project.
The project involves expanding the thoroughfare from Clear Creek to Beltway 8 to four lanes, including a 150-foot four-lane bridge across Clear Creek, including pedestrian paths, according to city documents.
