Manvel to approve May election for mayor, City Council seats

Manvel City Council is scheduled to approve an order for a May 2 general election at its Jan. 20 meeting for the offices of mayor and council member Place 3 and Place 5, each serving three-year terms.

The seats up for election are currently held by:

• Mayor: Dan Davis
• Place 3: Harry Opliger
• Place 5: Crystal Sarmiento

The agenda also includes related administrative items, including the designation of city election precincts and a polling place, as well as the appointment of a presiding election judge and an alternate.
