With all precincts reporting in Brazoria County, unofficial results show Rob Giesecke has won the Republican primary race for Brazoria County judge with 19,702 votes, or 64.82%, against Kevin Cole, who received 10,692 votes, or 35.18%.
In another race, Eugene Howard won the Democratic primary race for Brazoria County judge with 13,091, or 50.09%. He was facing Jim Mooney, who received 7,025 votes, or 26.88%, and Eddie Damian, who received 6,019 votes, or 23.03%.
Giesecke and Howard will now face each other for the Brazoria County judge position during the general Nov. 3 election.
All results are unofficial until canvassed at a later date.

With polls closing in Brazoria County at 7 p.m., the first batch of unofficial election results show Rob Giesecke leading in the race for the Republican candidate and Eugene Howard leading in the race for the Democratic candidate for Brazoria County Judge, according to unofficial results from Brazoria County.

As of 9:45 p.m., Giesecke has 16,905 votes, compared to Kevin Cole, who has 8,368 votes, early results show.
As of 9:45 p.m., Howard has 10,015 votes, compared to Jim Mooney, who has 5,286 votes and Eddie Damian, who has 4,506 votes early results show.
Meet the candidates
Cole has served as mayor of the city of Pearland since 2020 and prior to that served nine non-consecutive years on Pearland City Council.
Giesecke serves as the Port Freeport Commission chairman, overseeing Texas’s 5th-largest port, and is also a commercial real estate broker.
On the ballot Howard owns Visionary Outreach Inc., a nonprofit organization, and previously ran for U.S. House Texas District 14 in 2022, but was defeated by Mikal Williams.
Damian is the chief consultant and owner of Leadership Remedy, an education consulting firm.
Based on November 2024 election results from Brazoria Drainage District No. 4, Jim Mooney was a candidate for Commissioner Place 1, receiving 36,080 votes, but was defeated by Adrian Hernandez.
