Friendswood ISD officials are projecting a decline in enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, with nearly 6,100 students expected across all campuses, according to enrollment projections presented at the May 11 board of trustees meeting.

District documents show enrollment is expected to total nearly 6,100 students for the 2026-27 school year, a decrease of 66 students compared to the 2025-26 school year.
According to district documents, 262 new students have enrolled for the 2026-27 school year, including:
- 248 at the elementary level across all campuses
- 9 at Friendswood Junior High
- 5 at Friendswood High School
