Visit Pearland, the city’s tourism board, is seeking local artists for public art commissions and collaborations, including the PearScape Trail, a collection of painted fiberglass pear sculptures throughout the city.

Artists are encouraged to apply for inclusion in the newly created Visit Pearland Artist Roster, a pre-qualified directory of artists considered for public art projects, according to a Dec. 11 news release.

The application is open to professional and emerging artists throughout the greater Houston area and there is no fee to apply, according to the release

Examples of projects and programs supported by Visit Pearland include the Pearland Mural Tour, Pearland Grand Arts & Eats and the prominent PearScape Trail.
