Several events are taking place this spring season in New Caney and Porter. From barbecue cook-offs to crawfish festivals, there is something for the whole family. All events are subject to change, and this list is not comprehensive.
Birdies for Beacon
Proceeds from this golf tournament, which includes lunch and dinner, will benefit Project Beacon. The event will include an 18-hole four-player scramble tournament and an adaptive golf experience.

Blossom Bash
Head to the Tullis Library for nature-related crafts and a tree giveaway. Attendees are also asked to bring seed donations for the seed library.
Noah’s Give-A-Gift Crawfish Boil
Attendees can enjoy crawfish, shrimp and live music in a family-friendly atmosphere. Proceeds from this event will help financially support a local Title I school. Presale tickets are available, and on-site purchases will be available while supplies last.
Pick-a-Buddy Pickleball Fundraiser
Proceeds from this pickleball tournament will benefit Mission Northeast’s Buddy Bag Program, which provides weekend meals for local children facing food insecurity.

Shoot For Scholarships BBQ Cook-Off
The barbecue cook-off will help raise scholarship funds for local East Montgomery County students. This year, the event will also include a car show.

Splendora ISD Education Foundation Purse Bingo
Attendees are invited to support students and teachers across Splendora ISD during this second annual purse bingo event.
90’s House Party
Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures will host a '90s-themed party for attendees age 21 and older featuring a live DJ playing '90s hits, specialty cocktails, water park rides and retro games.
Big Rivers Cajun Fest
The waterpark is hosting a Cajun festival featuring boiled crawfish specials, beer and mixed cocktail specials, live music, crawfish races and a crawfish-eating contest.
