Overlooking the green at public golf course Oakhurst Golf Club, Three B's On The Green was built on the success of the Three B's Grill in Kingwood by lifelong friends Robert Jones and Craig Brown.
What began in 2010 as a local hangout in Kingwood expanded in 2024 to a community favorite for Porter golfers and neighbors alike.
How it happened
A golfer himself, Brown said Oakhurst Golf Club has been his go-to golf course for years. The sport shared with his father ignited Brown's idea to create a space for the general public and golfers to share a drink and enjoy American cuisine.
While the eatery is the ideal place for golfers to have a drink after golfing, Brown said Three B's On The Green provides a family-friendly environment located at one of Houston's top public golf courses.
Named after Jones’ children—Brett, Brady and Bennett—Brown said he and Jones alternate between the two locations to efficiently operate the business.
“It's important for us as owners to have a presence in the restaurant for our guests,” Brown said.

What's special about it?
As a community space, Three B's on the Green in Porter holds several weekly specials and events, including burger specials on Tuesdays, wing specials on Wednesdays and steak specials on Thursdays.
On Fridays, the venue holds live music on the patio and offers crawfish Saturday-Sunday for $8 a pound during crawfish season. In addition, the bar holds Singo Bingo on Saturdays and offers brunch on Sundays. Guests can also enjoy a variety of sports regularly played on TVs throughout the venue.

On the menu
The grill specializes in American cuisine, offering menu staples including burgers, wings, tacos, salads and steak.
“We call ourselves an all-American grill. ... Our burgers are famous, and we do everything from scratch,” Brown said.

Specializing in its bourbon selection, Three B’s on the Green boasts a full bar with offerings from wine, draft and canned beer to specialty cocktails and martinis. Aside from its dining services, Three B’s has a private room that can be reserved for celebrations, from weddings to baby showers.
“We're open to the public, and we encourage our families to come out and enjoy us, because it's a really relaxed vibe out here,” Brown said.
