Construction has begun on the first portion of the 328-acre Azalea District, which will feature residential, dining, healthcare and shopping options, within the master-planned community Valley Ranch in New Caney, according to an April 28 news release from developer The Signorelli Company.
The Azalea District will feature nearly 360 homes, spanning over 200 acres, and marks the last single-family residential community to debut in Valley Ranch, according to the release.
Two-minute impact
The first residential phase of construction for the Azalea District will include over 155 homesites, which are expected to be delivered this summer, according to the release. First America Homes, a division of The Signorelli Company, will build the homes.
According to the release, amenities in the residential section of the Azalea District will include:
- A pool
- A playground
- A pavilion
- A paved trail network
“Azalea District completes the vision for Valley Ranch by delivering the final key components of a truly dynamic community,” said Jeff Dewese, president of the land division for The Signorelli Company, via the release.
Breaking it down
Near the residential zone of the Azalea District, 125 acres of land will eventually house commercial options with a focus on healthcare and wellness, according to the release.
“Azalea represents the next evolution of Valley Ranch, a destination that pairs world-class health and wellness with lifestyle conveniences,” said Greg Wattson, senior vice president of commercial development for The Signorelli Company, via the release. “By thoughtfully bringing these elements together, we are creating a place that truly supports the community and the workforce that serves it.”
