Sisters Jennifer and Daysy Sanchez celebrated the grand opening of Sweetsporjenni, their new sweet shop, in New Caney. The shop specializes in mini pancakes, strawberry cups—also known as Dubai chocolate cups—drinks and more.WeeKare Pediatrics officials opened their new location in the Caney Crossing shopping center in New Caney. The practice offers a variety of medical services for children including sports physicals, vision and hearing screenings, urinalysis, immunizations and sterile ear piercings.Coming soon

The new McCoy’s Building Supply store under construction in New Caney is tentatively expected to open late this spring. McCoy’s Building Supply sells building materials for residential and agricultural projects; tractor, trailer and auto supplies; farm, ranch and animal supplies; and work wear and safety gear.Originally expected to open in January, Casa Julia Tex Mex officials said the new location in New Caney is now expected to open by late February or early March. Casa Julia Tex Mex plans to offer a Tex-Mex menu with scratch-made items including house-made chips and margaritas.Construction is underway for a Fuel Maxx gas station and convenience store in Porter. The new Fuel Maxx location in Porter will feature a beer vault, Taco Corner, Coffee Maxx Station and a Maxx Washateria.

Castle Hill Partners has broken ground on a new 5-acre amenity campus at The Trails. The new amenity campus is expected to open in late 2026 and will be exclusively for residents of The Trails, a master-planned community located near the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Plum Grove Road in New Caney.In the news
