Steak & BBQ Cook-Off

In addition to barbecue and steak cook-offs, this 39th annual event will also include an Anything Bacon Open competition, a Kids 'Que competition, a cornhole tournament and an awards ceremony.

Rodeo Art Show

Support young artists at New Caney ISD's 2026 Rodeo Art Show. Students will display art they submitted to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Light refreshments will be available.

'Into the Woods'

Each of New Caney ISD's high school theater departments will present musicals in January. West Fork High School will present "Into the Woods."New Caney Community Market


Attendees can shop from over 60 local vendors and food trucks. This market is held every first and third Sunday of the month in the Valley Ranch Town Center parking lot.Book Swap

Back Pew Brewing is hosting its first book swap, where attendees can sip beer, enjoy food and swap books. Tickets will be given for each book, in good condition, brought to the event, and attendees can redeem as many books as they bring. Books should be in these categories: mystery, crime drama, science fiction, fantasy, romance, historical fiction, young adult, horror, thriller, nonfiction, biography and children's books. Children's books can only be swapped for other children's books. For the final 30 minutes of the event, attendees can take any leftover books they'd like.
