Freebirds World Burrito has delayed the opening of its new restaurant located at 3112 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Kingwood, from September to early January, according to Ryan Bradshaw, who serves as the North Houston regional manager for Freebirds. The Austin-based Tex-Mex chain offers build-your-own burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads.

As previously reported by Community Impact Newspaper, the new Kingwood location is part of Freebirds' recently announced goal of doubling its total number of locations over the next five years; the expansion initiative will focus on the Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio metro areas. The company is looking to hire more than 30 employees to staff the new Kingwood location. For more information about employment opportunities or to apply, click here.

Details about the Kingwood eatery's grand opening celebration, which will feature free samples and special opening promotions, are forthcoming. www.freebirds.com
