Explaining the role
Per the release, in her new role, Donovan will be charged with the development of the Lone Star College Alumni Association. The initiative aims to:
- Celebrate the achievements of LSCS graduates
- Foster professional and personal connections
- Create opportunities for alumni to give back through mentorship, advocacy and community engagement
Career history
Per the release, Donovan previously led the alumni relations program at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. Most recently, she served as the director of development for nonprofits Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic.
"Lone Star College System alumni are among our greatest ambassadors," said Kristy Vienne, LSCS vice chancellor of Finance and Administration and chief financial officer, in a statement. "Carolyn's experience in building inclusive and mission-driven engagement programs will be instrumental as we establish a vibrant alumni association that keeps our graduates connected and engaged for life."
Now a 20-year resident of Houston, Donovan received her Master of Business Administration in management from The University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and administration of justice from Salve Regina University.
