What Humble ISD parents, students should know before school starts Aug. 13

This month, Humble ISD schools will welcome students for the 2025-26 school year. Keep reading for need-to-know information ahead of the first day of school Aug. 13.

A quick note

According to the district's website, the bell schedule will run as follows:

• School begins at 7:55 a.m. for elementary schools, 8:30 a.m. for middle schools and 7:25 a.m. for high schools.
• The school day ends at 3:20 p.m. for elementary schools, 4 p.m. for middle schools and 2:55 p.m. for high schools.

First steps

Online registration will need to be completed for new students. According to HISD’s website, the required documents for student registration include:

• Proof of residence
• Document proving student age and identity, such as birth certificate or passport
• Document proving parent identification, such as drivers license or passport

To be eligible for kindergarten in HISD, a child must be 5 years old on or before Sept.1, according to the district website.
