C79 Bakery and Restaurant now open in Katy
C79 Bakery and Restaurant offers a wide variety of Indian cuisine, including thali, chole bhature and chicken puri, according to its social media.
Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen serves Cajun-style food as well as Louisiana staples and French and Italian influences. The restaurant also offers a lunch and happy hour menu featuring drink specials and small bites.
Old Hickory Inn Barbecue has relocated its original restaurant to a new spot in Meyerland. Old Hickory Inn Barbecue offers a variety of barbecue options, including meat plates and sides with options such as chopped brisket, ribs, sausage and chicken. The menu also serves barbecue sandwiches, burgers and desserts.
Burger Fresh opened its initial Humble location last May but opted to move to a new location in February, according to previous reporting by Community Impact. Initially established in Conroe in 1997, the eatery offers a variety of dishes, including hamburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, fish baskets and chicken dishes. Additionally, the burger joint offers a variety of Blue Bell ice cream flavors, sundaes and malts.
Trung Nguyên E-Coffee, a brand blending traditional Vietnamese brews with a modern Houston coffee shop style, will expand to Katy this spring. The storefront will be located in Katy Asian Town and offer the same menu, featuring favorites such as specialty matcha lattes and Phin coffee, which uses a traditional Vietnamese coffee filter.
Southern flavors meet Houston’s nightlife at popular Upper Kirby restaurant
Confessions, opened in April 2025 by Sterling Lewis, blends Southern flair with nightlife. Menu items include dishes such as strawberry cornbread, spicy peach wings and honey truffle fried chicken. Additionally, guests can enjoy a traditional dining environment until around 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., when a “DJ starts curating moments and experiences,” Lewis said.
