Following a soft opening in early November, Kolache Shoppe will host a three-day grand opening celebration for its new Kingwood location Dec. 8-10, according to a Nov. 30 news release.

Located at 4521 Kingwood Drive, the new bakery is owned by franchisees Jordan and Kristy Armendinger and represents Kolache Shoppe's third location. Kolache Shoppe boasts 24 signature flavors of authentic Texas-Czech pastries, including fruit-filled and breakfast-style kolaches, in addition to seasonal selections. Coffee- and espresso-based beverages made with locally roasted Geva coffee are also available.

The 1,200 square-foot Kingwood bakery features a pet-friendly patio as well as a carryout window, which will soon be available to facilitate pickups.

"As native Houstonians, we grew up with kolaches," Kristy Armendinger said in a statement. "We look forward to sharing our love for our favorite Texas breakfast while becoming an impactful part of the Kingwood community."

According to the release, the grand opening celebration will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Partnership Lake Houston on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. On Dec. 9, Kolache Shoppe-Kingwood will host a Benefit Day, during which 20% of sales will go to The Village Centers, a local nonprofit that provides support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The grand opening celebration will then wrap up Dec. 10, during which the first 50 guests to make an in-store purchase will receive a punch card for one complimentary sweet or savory kolache and one complimentary small drip coffee each month for a year. 281-570-2578. www.kolacheshoppe.com
