As construction continues on Stratus Properties' mixed-use development Kingwood Place, the company has revealed the first tenants and opening dates for the shopping center. Melissa Neslund with Stratus Properties shared details about the future of the center at the Aug. 1 Kingwood BizCom event at Kingwood High School.

The 54-acre site, which is located at the southwest corner of Hwy. 59 and Northpark Drive, will feature an H-E-B anchor store, various restaurant and retail spaces, and a future residential housing development when completed, Neslund said. The H-E-B anchor store will be the first tenant to open on Nov. 14, she said.

Other confirmed tenants for Kingwood Place include Twin Liquors, Nails of America, Nukumi Japanese Steakhouse, a Chicken Salad Chick restaurant, a Starbucks coffee shop and Chase Bank.

Additionally, Neslund said Stratus Properties is currently negotiating a lease with Denver-based brunch chain Snooze, an A.M. Eatery.
