New Caney, Humble ISDs see sharp increase in active coronavirus case counts

In the week after Thanksgiving, New Caney ISD and Humble ISD saw sharp increases in the numbers of coronavirus cases on their campuses.

As of Dec. 3, Humble ISD has 215 active cases, with 205 across its elementary, middle and high campuses. All three types of schools saw large increases individually; elementary schools saw a 67% increase from pre-Thanksgiving numbers, up from 46 to 77.


As of Dec. 3, New Caney ISD has 43 active cases, almost double its pre-Thanksgiving case count. High school students are the most affected student body, with 14 active cases.
