From a new organic grocery store to a breakfast and brunch cafe, check out the most anticipated projects expected to kick off or open this year in the Lake Houston area, based on readership data analyzed by Community Impact. This list is not comprehensive.

1. Sprouts Farmers Market will be opening in the King's Crossing shopping center. Sprouts offers fresh, natural and organic food with products that cater to a range of dietary needs, including gluten-free, plant-based and non-GMO products.

2. The new Judge Ted Poe community center from Harris County Precinct 3 in Atascocita will be opening soon. The $2.5 million, 8,500-square-foot facility is being renovated from an existing building in Atascocita Park.

3. Officials with Keke's Breakfast Cafe are planning to open a new location in Kingwood in February. Keke's offers breakfast and brunch with menu items including waffles, pancakes, stuffed French toast and omelets.4. Score Entertainment officials are now projecting a spring opening for their new entertainment venue at Deerbrook Mall in Humble. Score Entertainment offers a variety of activities, including laser tag, go karts, bowling and ax throwing.5. Cadence Creek—an active-adult rental community—is coming soon to Kingwood. The Caldwell Companies community will feature approximately 220 residences and a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as one- and two-bedroom cottage homes with attached garages and private yards.6. Dutch Bros Coffee officials are planning to open a new location in Kingwood featuring a drive-thru and walk-up areas. The Oregon-based coffee company serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, a private-label Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.7. Construction is underway on a new Dollar Tree in Humble.
