An additional $360,000 was approved for renovations at the Atascocita Branch Library during Harris County Commissioners Court on Dec. 10.

According to commissioners court meeting documents, the project will include:

  • A new assembly space with restrooms and storage
  • A detention pond
  • Additional parking

The total funding from commissioners court for the project, with the new Dec. 10 funding, is $1.36 million, according to meeting documents. The initial funding for the project was approved in November 2019.
