Baseball- and softball-themed entertainment center Home Run Dugout will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new facility in Katy on Monday, June 6. According to Colby Smith, general manager of the Katy location, the Round Rock-founded venue will officially open in early 2023.

“Round Rock was our first proof-of-concept facility,” Smith said. “Following that location’s success, we are building our first full-scale standalone facility in Katy, Texas.”

The 46,000-square-foot venue will feature 12 of Home Run Dugout’s patented Batting Bays, with soft-toss pitching machines suited for patrons of any skill level; a full-service restaurant and two bars with elevated ballpark-themed cuisine; indoor and outdoor dining; a beer garden; a concert stage and a whiffle ball field.

Located at 1220 Grand West Blvd., Katy, near the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Katy Freeway, the entertainment center will be next to Andretti Indoor Karting. www.homerundugout.com
