Editor's note: When originally posted, this story incorrectly described Wellby as a nonprofit 501(c)(3), when it is actually a not-for-profit financial cooperative. The name of the business was also misrepresented as Wellby Financial in the title, and has since been corrected to Wellby.

On May 7, the Katy Area Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting for a new Wellby Solution Center at the H-E-B Plus, located at 6711 S. Fry Road, Katy, that will offer notary and ATM services. The Houston-based credit union recently opened a solution center in Sugar Land and is planning a ceremony for another in Cypress on May 21.

As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Wellby supports each community it is stationed in as a partner to local organizations that provide philanthropy and activism, according to its website. 281-488-7070. www.wellbyfinancial.com
