The 2022 Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show will be held Feb. 15-19 at the Katy ISD Agricultural Sciences Center located at 5801 Katy Hockley Cut Off Road, Katy.

The Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show has provided students with opportunities to develop their talents and showcase their abilities through a range of agricultural pathways for the past 79 years. Competition categories include steers, goats, lambs, hogs, broilers and rabbits.

“We have over 450 FFA students participating in our livestock show. These students, with the support of their agriculture teachers, have put in a tremendous amount of time and effort with their animal projects. It takes commitment from not only the students but also their family, as these animals require care throughout the year,” said Sarah Martin, director of career and technical education. “We are excited to honor the tradition of FFA and the people who have made this program the best in the state.”

A carnival will be held in conjunction with the rodeo Feb. 17-19 with tickets available for $25 per person. The carnival will be open Feb. 17 from 5 p.m.-midnight, Feb. 18 5 p.m.-midnight and Feb. 19 from noon-midnight.

Through in-person or online donations, the public can support KISD FFA students this year through auction and barn sale purchases.
