Across the Greater Houston area, young participants in the city’s Lemonade Day are out selling lemonade and other products this weekend, July 15-17.

Upon completing the free and educational Lemonade Day program, children were provided the necessary materials to operate their stand businesses, and all profits from this weekend are theirs to keep. Lemonade Day was founded in Houston in 2007 by entrepreneur Michael Holthouse and wife Lisa, and is geared toward teaching young people about entrepreneurship, business literacy and charitable giving, according to a July 15 Lemonade Day media release.

Location and operation times vary between individual stands. Customers can find the address and information for nearby lemonade businesses to support via an online map on the Lemonade Day Houston website.
