A new restaurant concept, marketed as a "ma and pa sandwich shop," opened at the same address as Front Door Gourmet custom meal planning.

Harvey’s Deli held a soft opening Sept. 26-29, and is located at 27252 Katy Freeway, Ste. 400, Katy. The restaurant serves sandwiches, salads, soups, sides, sweets and drinks. The shop also fresh smokes bacon and features weekly specials on certain menu items.

Owner and chef Ted Tyman said his father, Harvey, serves as the inspiration for the sandwich shop in a TikTok video posted Sept. 27. It was his encouragement over the past 20 years that led to the new venture, he said.
