Pet Bar Inc. is a boutique pet grooming and spa service that offers a variety of services, such as self-service washing, full-service washing, grooming and a pet taxi service. Plato's Closet recently opened a Fulshear-area location Oct. 14. Located at 26440 FM 1093, Richmond, the secondhand clothing store accepts gently-used, trendy clothing that can be donated for instant cash. The apartment complex located in the Katy Boardwalk District has officially opened, according to a Nov. 1 press release. Boardwalk Lofts—developed by Sueba USA—houses 319 units with one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Located at 122 Lakeview Way, Katy, the apartment complex is one part of the Katy Boardwalk District, a 90-acre development that will feature retail space, a nature preserve, offices, and a hotel and conference center near Katy Mills.

Roegels Barbecue Co. will open a new location in Katy in December or January. Located at 20702 Katy Freeway, Katy, the menu features smoked sausage, pork ribs, whole barbecue chicken, smoked pork belly and beef ribs as well as sides of potato salad, collard greens, loaded mashed potatoes, creamy coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Veterinary Emergency Group opened its 26th location at 1370 W. Grand Parkway S., Katy, on Oct. 6. The emergency vet service is open 24/7, including on holidays.
