Katy has something for everyone this weekend. Here are five events to consider adding to your calendar:

Sept. 30-Oct. 2: 'Evil Dead, The Musical'


The musical is based on Sam Raimi’s 1980s cult classic films. Five college students travel to a wooded cabin and unleash an evil force. Though the production may sound like a work of horror, its songs are funny and campy. 8 p.m. (Sept. 30, Oct. 1). 2 p.m. (Oct. 2). $18 (adults), $15 (students and seniors age 55 and older). $12 (group rate, groups of 10 or more). Oct. 1: Houston NF Walk


A day of games, music, food and activities with superheroes benefits the Children’s Tumor Foundation and honors those with neurofibromatosis (NF). This is the second year for the event. Children’s Tumor Foundation is a nonprofit focused on improving the health and well-being of those affected by NF and their families. Participants who raise $250 or more receive an exclusive NF Walk T-shirt. 9 a.m. $20 (adults). $10 (children age 4 and older). Oct. 1: St. Paul's Fall Festival & Craft Show


The event raises funds for the church. Attendees enjoy vendor booths, children’s activities and barbecue. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 5373 Franz Road, Katy. 281-391-2785.

Oct. 1: Yoga demonstration


Classes twice a month feature this relaxing and centering exercise program. Learn some beginning yoga exercises and their benefits. Exercise the body and mind. The class is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome. 10 a.m. (Oct. 1). 3 p.m. (Oct. 15). Maud Marks Library. 1815 Westgreen Blvd, Katy. 281-492-8592.

Oct. 2: Katy Triathlon at Firethorne


Athletes participate in a three-part race that features a 500-meter swim, a 14.8-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run. An after-party follows the 24th annual event, which benefits the scholarship fund of the Rotary Club of Katy. Spectators are welcome to attend. 7:30 a.m. (start).
