Thirty-one of the mall's original tenants have remained open since the center's inception, per the release. Today, Katy Mills boasts 175 stores with brands including Nike, Sephora and Steve Madden.
Dining and entertainment options include AMC Theatres, The Cheesecake Factory, Dig World and Slick City; and the center often hosts family-friendly events, such as the upcoming Halloween Boo Bash, and cookies and photos with Santa Claus.
Dates to know
Throughout October, shoppers can commemorate the 25th anniversary with specialty promotions and giveaways, per the release. A full list of offerings can be found on the center's website.
On Oct. 28 beginning at 9 a.m., mall visitors will be able to celebrate with complimentary breakfast by Yellow Rose Catering in the food court, live music by Tanner Harrington Piano Studio, a photo opportunity by Snap & Pop Events and exclusive anniversary-branded tote bags for the first 250 guests.

Katy Mills mall has collaborated with local and national nonprofit groups such as Simon Youth Foundation, Katy Christian Ministries and The Rotary Club of Katy to foster connections within the city of Katy and contribute to the area's growth, according to the release.
"For the past 25 years, Katy Mills has thrived by offering high-quality retail and entertainment choices to families and visitors throughout the Houston area,” Lisa Connolly, director of marketing and business development, said in the release. “We have so much to celebrate as we commemorate this milestone, and we are thankful for the continued support of our community.”
Looking ahead
Katy Mills expanded its lineup of retailers this summer to include True Religion and Koze Shake, per the release. Additionally, a new jewelry store and coffee shop will open at the mall in November, as well as P. F. Chang's and Primark coming in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
