1. Fort Bend County to open second all-abilities park in Fulshear
Project: The superhero-themed Super Dave's All Abilities Park is coming to Fulshear after City Council approved an interlocal agreement March 18 to allow Fort Bend County right-of-way access to complete the park.
Update: Fort Bend County and Fulshear officials gathered Oct. 28 to break ground on the $3.4 million park.

Project: The city of Katy is bringing more parking near downtown with two newly approved projects.
Update: At an Oct. 13 meeting, Katy City Council unanimously approved two construction contracts with Castillo-Aranda LLC totaling $1.01 million for Municipal Court and Second Street parking lot improvements.
- Location: 5432 Franz Road, Katy (Municipal Court lot); corner of Second Street and Avenue A, Katy (Second Street lot)
- Timeline: expected to be complete in April

Project: The Green at Katy Park aims to bring green space and restaurants north of I-10 and will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 will feature retail and restaurants, while Phase 2 is still undetermined, said officials with Read King, developer of The Green at Katy Park project.
Update: A 46.27-acre mixed-use district by developer Read King, will see $4.07 million in roadway and drainage improvements after approval from Katy City Council on Aug. 11.
- Location: northwest corner of Morton and Katy Hockley Cut Off roads
- Timeline: Construction on drainage and paving facilities is expected to finish by spring 2026. There are no hard dates for roadway and traffic signal modifications, but agenda documents show a period of performance of 285 contract days.

Project: The city of Katy will begin construction of its citywide trail system in 2026. Phase 1 of the project is expected to cost $1.9 million and will create a 12-foot concrete trail from Morton Road to 10th Street.
Update: At a May 12 meeting, Katy City Council approved a $348,120 design contract with ARKK Engineers for Phase 1, which includes approximately two miles of the citywide trail system and is expected to cost nearly $1.9 million.

- Timeline: City officials will enter a two-month construction bid phase before constructing the first phase over approximately 10 months, following the December completion of design.

Project: The project will include improvements at the Learning Center such as a trail system, landscape and irrigation, decking and outdoor learning areas, as well as site furnishing.
Update: Katy City Council unanimously approved a resolution assigning $24,750 toward designing improvements at the learning center at a Sept. 22 meeting.
