Houston gets a nod to bygone brewery with New Magnolia Brewing Co.

New Magnolia Brewing Company will open to the public on Nov. 22 in the Heights area at 1616 Bevis St, Houston. In development for several years, the brewery is named after Magnolia Brewing Co., which was located in downtown Houston from 1893 to 1918. The brewery will offer multiple varieties on constant rotation. At launch, the brewery was serving kolsch, hefeweizen, three-fruited Berliner weisse, IPA, nitro-porter, smoked oak wheat ale and others.
