Founded by restaurateur Bobby Heugel and bartender Jacki Schromm, the new cocktail bar is a tribute to Schromm’s late grandmother, Donna.
What’s in a name
In a Sept. 4 social media post, Schromm expressed that Donna’s is centered around values that her grandmother embodied, such as hospitality and inclusivity.
She said her grandmother always reminded her that love and hospitality go hand in hand, and the importance of generosity.
“Opening Donna’s is not just about building a bar—it is about honoring the woman who taught me the meaning of true hospitality,” Schromm wrote on Instagram. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to share her legacy with our community, one cocktail at a time.”
Donna’s is open seven days a week from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m., according to the bar’s social media.
