The Pennsylvania-based eatery announced in late 2023 plans to open new stores in Canada and the United Kingdom, expanding for the first time outside of the United States. The announcement also eluded to the opening of dozens of new stores in the U.S.
As of Sept. 2024, the bakery brand has opened 35 of its projected 55 stores within North America. One of the newest stores to open as part of the plan included the Third Ward, 3113 Scott Street, location in Houston, which opened in early 2024. Now, a third location is anticipated to open within Houston.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the new location is anticipated to set up shop in the Heights at 508 W. 19th Street. The filing states that construction is expected to start in June, with a completion date in late August. However, details are subject to change.

Insomnia Cookies specializes in delivering a variety of warm cookies straight to a customer's door. Classic cookie options include chocolate chunk, sugar, double chocolate mint, M&M's, red velvet and Snickerdoodle. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free options.
Guests can order a box of cookies from 12 to 50 packs. Other menu items include brownies, ice cream, cookie cakes and wiches, a combination of two warm cookies with ice cream smashed in the center.
Insomnia Cookies stores are open for pickup and delivery from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
