The Raven Tower recently announced on social media the upcoming reopening of its iconic tower.

The gist

Originally built in the 1970s as a metal fabrication shop, The Raven Tower is a bar that serves twenty-four beers on tap, a large spirits selection and an assortment of wines, according to the bar's website.

The space also features an iconic 3,000 square-foot patio in the sky, offering panoramic views of Downtown Houston. While the bar on the ground has remained open, the tower has been under renovation and will reopen to the public at the beginning of October.

Something to note

The Raven Tower was recently purchased by new owners, who have added new community amenities to the space, including a pool table, multiple bars and more seating with more than 20 picnic tables, owner Dustin Landry said. Additionally, Landry said the bar now has a 20-foot video wall, multiple TVs and a giant projector.

To celebrate the reopening, Landry said the bar is hosting a public launch party Oct. 2 with live music, as well as upcoming themed nights featuring car shows and karaoke.
