The 65,000-square-foot facility is located at 11085 Regency Green Drive. Petra was previously headquartered at Hwy. 290 and Gessner Road.
With customers in 24 countries around the world, Petra is one of the fasted growing automobile chemical companies in the U.S., CEO Arnold Gacita said. The company sells high-quality fuel additives and cleaning supplies to distributors such as dealerships and repair shops.
The new, larger facility was necessary to expand operations to meet growing demand, Gacita said. He said his team searched for locations across Houston before selecting a three-acre plot in Cypress for the new headquarters.
Cypress was a good choice because of the area’s established infrastructure, Gacita said.
“We wanted to move to Cypress because the infrastructure was already there," he said. "We didn’t want to buy in an area without established infrastructure because we wanted to know who our neighbors are.”
The facility houses offices for 12 employees as well as a training room and warehouse. With the company rapidly expanding its distribution in the U.S. and across the world, Gacita said the headquarters will eventually be expanded through five phases.
“There is growing demand for our product from around the world,” he said. “We’re anticipating that demand will increase and to more than double our revenue this year compared to last.”
