Updated 6:05 p.m. Aug. 29 Rainfall totals in several Houston suburbs dropped dramatically Tuesday, as Tropical Storm Harvey's system hovers over the region. Increased rain from Monday to Tuesday was measured in Conroe, Friendswood and Pearland, while flooding also damaged some gauges in Katy and Cypress. See how much these cities received in 24 hours, based on the Harris County Flood Warning System's measurements as of 5:49 p.m. and according to Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network counts at 7 a.m.- Conroe/Montgomery: Conroe saw between 2.68 and 10.61 inches, and the city of Montgomery received between 8.21 and 8.87 inches of rain. Closer to Montgomery, 1-1.19 inches of rain were measured.
- Cy-Fair: Levels varied in the Cy-Fair area, from 2.4 inches at Cypress Creek and Huffmeister Road, to 1.96 inches at Little Cypress Creek and Cypress Rosehill Road. The gauge at Cypress Creek and Grant Road was damaged.
- Katy: A gauge at FM 529 closer to Cypress had 2.04 inches of rainfall. Cinco Ranch saw 2.44 inches over Buffalo Bayou on South Peek Road and 2.32 inches over Bear Creek on Clay Road. The Willow Fork Creek and Pederson Road gauge was damaged.
- Lake Houston area: Rainfall levels varied from 5.64 inches at the southern tip of Lake Houston, to 6.12 inches at Garners Bayou and Rankin Road. Hwy. 59's crossing of the San Jacinto River saw 5.56 inches of rainfall.
- Pearland/Friendswood: CoCoRaHS counted 13.6 inches of rainfall south of Magnolia Street between Hwy. 288 and Masters Road. The agency also measured between 13.04 and 14 inches between South Friendswood Drive and FM 528 in Friendswood.
- Richmond/Rosenberg: Near the intersection of Hwy. 59 and FM 762, 5.26 inches of rain were measured, while the Pecan Grove and Aliana areas saw between 5.3 and 7.19 inches.
- Spring/Klein: In Spring, 2.56 inches were measured at the Harris County line near I-45, and between 3.04 to 3.64 inches along I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road crossing with Cypress Creek. Closer to Klein, the region saw between 2.68 and 2.84 inches of rainfall along Cypress Creek at the crossings with Kuykendahl and Stuebner Airline roads.
- Sugar Land/Missouri City: Sugar Land received between 7.4 and 7.84 inches of rain, while the closest gauge to Missouri City—HCFWS's marker at Sims Bayou and Hiram-Clarke Road in southeast Houston—measured 4.48 inches. HCFWS measured 3 inches of rain in the Meadows Place and Stafford areas.
- Tomball/Magnolia: Along the Tomball Tollway, or Hwy. 249, between 1.6 and 2.2 inches of rain were measured at Willow Creek and at the Harris County line, while 1.91 inches were measured closer to Magnolia.
- The Woodlands: The Woodlands saw 2.55 to 3.87 inches within Montgomery County, and 2.48 inches on Kuykendahl Road over Spring Creek in Harris County.
- Conroe/Montgomery - Conroe saw 8.75 inches, and the city of Montgomery received between 8.21 and 8.87 inches of rain. Closer to Hwy. 105 between the cities, 11.06 inches of rain were measured.
- Cy-Fair - Levels varied in the Cy-Fair area, from 7.28 inches at Cypress Creek and Huffmeister Road, to 6.32 inches at Little Cypress Creek and Cypress Rosehill Road.
- Katy - The Willow Fork Creek and Pederson Road gauge saw 10.04 inches, and FM 529 closer to Cypress had 11.8 inches. Cinco Ranch saw 11.4 inches over Buffalo Bayou on South Peek Road and 9.48 inches over Bear Creek on Clay Road.
- Lake Houston area - Rainfall levels varied from 6.88 inches at the southern tip of Lake Houston, to 12.48 inches at Garners Bayou and Rankin Road. Hwy. 59's crossing of the San Jacinto River saw 12.04 inches of rainfall.
- Pearland/Friendswood - CoCoRaHS counted 2.71 inches of rainfall south of Magnolia Street between Hwy. 288 and Masters Road. The agency also measured between 4.89 and 5.45 inches between South Friendswood Drive and FM 528 in Friendswood.
- Richmond/Rosenberg - The area had between 6.54 and 6.63 inches in the Richmond and Rosenberg area near the intersection of Hwy. 59 and FM 762. The Pecan Grove and Aliana areas saw between 10.5 to 14.06 inches of rain as well.
- Spring Klein - In Spring, 9.96 inches were measured at the Harris County line near I-45, and between 9.4 to 9.56 inches along I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road crossing with Cypress Creek. Closer to Klein, the county between 8.92 and 9.28 inches along Cypress Creek at the crossings with Kuykendahl and Stuebner Airline roads, respectively.
- Sugar Land/Missouri City - Sugar Land received between 8.8 and 9.19 inches of rain, while the closest gauge to Missouri City — HCFWS's marker at Sims Bayou and Hiram-Clarke Road in southeast Houston — measured 4.84 inches. HCFWS measured 6.84 inches of rain in the Meadows Place and Stafford areas.
- Tomball/Magnolia - Along the Tomball Tollway, or Hwy. 249, 7.48 inches of rain at Willow Creek and 7.08 inches at the Harris County line. while 6.85 inches were measured closer to Magnolia.
- The Woodlands - The Woodlands saw 8.4 to 11 inches within Montgomery County, and 8.48 inches on Kuykendahl Road over Spring Creek in Harris County.
