HCA Houston Healthcare has purchased 11 area locations formerly operated by SignatureCare Emergency Centers, expanding its footprint in the market.

The newly acquired locations will provide emergency care, clinical laboratory services, cardiac monitoring, overnight observation and telemedicine.

What’s happening?

According to a news release from HCA, the 11 emergency centers acquired are located in Atascocita, Bellaire, Copperfield, Cypress, Memorial City, Mission Bend, Montrose, Spring, Stafford, Heights and Westchase.

HCA Houston Healthcare is working closely with colleagues and physicians at the centers to ensure a smooth transition for patients and the community, according to the statement.

“We are very pleased to be expanding our emergency services throughout the Greater Houston area,” said Troy Villarreal, HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division president, in the statement. “These 11 locations will join our existing HCA Houston ER 24/7 network to offer residents greater access to providers and specialty services.”

HCA now owns 26 emergency care centers in the Houston area and a total of 71 facilities, including hospitals, urgent care centers, women’s health centers and rehab facilities, according to the website.
