The Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees is set to review its board operating procedures on Sept. 4 and Sept. 8 regarding the recording of board members, as well as hear a full report regarding the district's Texas Education Agency A-F accountability ratings.

The details

According to agenda documents, board members will discuss updating the board's operating procedures on communicating with each other and district staff. The four major new inclusions include:
  • Requiring the superintendent to offer quarterly meetings with each board member
  • Prohibiting personal recording of the superintendent or district staff without permission
  • Prohibiting personal recording of other board members without permission
  • Prohibiting personal recording of community members by board members without permission
The board will also hear a presentation regarding the TEA's statewide accountability ratings, where the district maintained an overall 'B' rating as previously reported by Community Impact. The district will also discuss 2025 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness results, where the district outperformed state standards in the majority of categories.
