Books-A-Million officials confirmed the book retail chain opened a new location in Cypress on Nov. 6 and has plans for a grand opening Nov. 22.

To celebrate the opening, the new location has partnered with Cy-Fair Helping Hands for a Christmas toy drive. The store is collecting toys and books Dec. 6-7 to help make Christmas brighter for local children.

Founded in 1917 in Florence, Alabama, Books-A-Million is the second-largest book retailer in the nation, per the website.

With locations ranging from 4,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet, Books-A-Million offers an expansive selection of books, magazines, bargain books, collectible supplies, toys, technology and gifts.


In addition, Books-A-Million stores feature the Joe Muggs Cafè, a full-line coffee and espresso bar offering a wide selection of gourmet coffees, teas, desserts and brewing supplies.
