Petra Oil Company relocated from inside Beltway 8 to Regency Green Drive in Cy-Fair in March. The company, which produces products for the automotive industry, has plans for future expansion under CEO Arnold Gacita.

What is Petra Oil Company known for making?

We produce professional grade automotive maintenance products, chemicals, oils, cleaners and more.

What makes Petra Oil Company unique? What do you attribute your success to?

We attribute our success to our customer service, quality of products, programs and training we offer our customers. We not only sell products, we sell products that are proven higher quality and higher performance than our competitors. We have programs that help our distributors sell our products. We also have a unique training program in which we train our distributors to train the advisers at the dealership level, who in turn sell to the consumer.

How has business been going for the company this past year?

Unbelievable—thanks to God. We are on pace to increase business this year versus last year by more than 50 percent.

What is the scope of your business beyond the Houston area? Who are your customers?

Currently, we service 24 countries through distributors throughout the world with over 400 people on the ground selling and servicing Petra.

Why did you choose to relocate to Cy-Fair? How has your reception to the area been so far?

The main reason was that we wanted to get out of the [Hwy.] 290 traffic. We are big in community service and thought establishing the new headquarters in our home community was the right thing to do.

How are you involved in the community?

We help mentor in different programs, and we sponsor many events, such as Young Life and Reach Youth Global. We also support local churches and [the] Christian Owners Association—they give to different charities every year. Last year, they donated to help rescue sex [trafficking victims].

Now that you have a larger office with room to grow, do you have any other big plans on the horizon?

We hope to start on Phase 2 next year, which will add another 10,000 square feet. Phases 2-5 involve expanding by 65,000 square feet in total.
