Cypress Counseling and Wellness groups for kids

Cypress Counseling and Wellness is holding two summer group options for kids including “Poets Playground,” where kids can explore their emotions in a supportive environment as well as “Artful Journey,” featuring self-expression through creativity. There will be two sessions for each group including a group of third-fifth graders and a group of sixth-eighth graders.

Quarter horse races

The Sam Houston Race Park is holding its last quarter horse race meet of the season. Quarter horse races feature live racing, promotions and food and beverage specials.

Painting with a Twist is holding a Father’s Day-themed event. Attendees of all ages can paint a couple of otters and are welcome to bring their own drinks.The Cypress-Tomball Democrats meeting

The Cypress-Tomball Democrats are holding their monthly meeting with guest speaker Wil Jeudy, founder of Secular Houston. Secular Houston organizes the secular political voice in the Greater Houston area to endorse candidates and teach constituents how to affect change through the separation of church and state.Super Charged Summer Children’s Show

The Lone Star College-CyFair’s summer children’s show is presenting “Miss Electricity!” about a 10-year-old Violet who gets struck by lightning and gains control over all things electric.

Towne Lake is holding a blood drive sponsored by Gulf Coast Blood Center. A free beach towel will be gifted to donors.

Towne Lake is celebrating Independence Day with live music, airbrush face painting, a balloon artist and a photo backdrop. The event will not have a fireworks display this year.

City of Jersey Village July 4 Festival

The city of Jersey Village is holding a July 4 festival featuring a parade, concert, food and fireworks. This year, the concert will feature 7 Bridges with a tribute to the Eagles.
