In a June 16 news release, The Howard Hughes Corp. announced presales will begin soon on Bridgeland’s first for-sale residential product in Bridgeland Central.

City Series townhomes by Highland Homes offers modern townhomes designed to satisfy the desires of those seeking a lock-and-leave lifestyle without losing access to activities and nature.

Townhome buildings will feature two to four units with 22-foot or 25-foot alley units as well as 25-foot front-loaded homes, according to the release. Square footage for the units will range from 1,761-2,300 and will offer three- to four-bedroom floorplans.

The development of City Series by Highland Homes was conceived by Heath Melton, who led Bridgeland’s residential development since 2015, prior to becoming president of the Phoenix Region for The Howard Hughes Corp., where he is overseeing the company’s new 33,000-acre master-planned community.

Bridgeland’s horizontal development is now being overseen by Steve Sams, senior vice president of master-planned communities residential.

“The townhome series’ city-inspired architecture fits in perfectly with the neighborhood’s proximity to Bridgeland’s future urban core,” Sams said in a statement. “Coupled with its proximity to recreational opportunities, City Series will appeal to those seeking an elevated residential experience with access to greenspace and best-in-class amenities.”

City Series represents the first residential section for sale in Bridgeland Central, the 925-acre development on the Grand Parkway. The center is designed to offer office, retail, dining, entertainment, hospitality and other features within a metropolitan setting.

“We are thrilled to launch our City Series luxury townhomes in Bridgeland,” Highland Homes President Aaron Graham said in the release. “Designed by our in-house architecture team, City Series is truly impressive and lives larger than you’d expect from a traditional townhome. We wanted this series to feel like a detached home, so we really increased the natural light, added outdoor spaces, and elevated the buildings to have a modern, urban vibe that’s a perfect fit for Bridgeland. From young professionals to families to empty nesters or anyone looking for a lock-and-leave lifestyle, the Highland City Series will be a hit.”
