Development is underway on Jubilee, a 1,620-acre community in Hockley, officials with Johnson Development announced in an Oct. 19 news release.

The community is located west of the intersection of Hwy. 290 and the Grand Parkway between Warren Ranch and Katy Hockley roads. Approximately 4,800 homes are planned for the community, and presales are expected to begin in early 2023.

Officials said the neighborhood is designed to spark joy and positivity.

“We want to raise the bar for how a community can better the lives of the individuals that live in it,” said Larry Johnson, chair and CEO of Johnson Development, in a statement. “Every aspect of this new community is being intentionally designed to promote positivity, allowing residents to decompress from the everyday grind and connect with nature and each other.”

Johnson Development acquired the property in 2017, and this will be the developers’ first northwest Houston community, officials said. www.johnsondevelopment.com
